As a CareTeam virtual nurse you will deliver high-quality, student-centered healthcare services through a telehealth model. This role combines the core responsibilities of a traditional school nurse with the innovation of telehealth pediatric care, ensuring students receive timely, accessible, and clinically sound services within the K–12 environment.</p><p><br></p><p>CareTeam nurses will work 100% remotely to conduct synchronous virtual assessments of students seeking walk-in, low acuity care and medication administration supervision at the school health office. All virtual work is conducted via our proprietary secure video conferencing platform and innovative remote patient monitoring technologies, assisted by on site paraprofessionals and student support staff. In addition, the CareTeam nurse completes asynchronous, remote work such as clinical and health records reviews, immunization compliance tracking, protocols review, medication inventory and management.</p><p><br></p><p>Our CareTeam virtual nurses:</p><p>-Apply strong clinical judgment, technological fluency, and an ability to collaborate closely with on-site school staff to support student health and safety remotely.</p><p>-Utilize keen observation skills, strong listening skills, clinical experience and training in delivering high quality, ‘outpatient’ urgent care services, using evidence-based medicine and decision making skills</p><p>-Facilitate care and medication administration that promotes return to class where appropriate</p><p>-Maintain accurate electronic medical records documentation</p><p>-Serve a growing-to-high-volume program in an engaging and collaborative manner</p><p>-Build rapport with patients and exude a compassionate and caring demeanor</p><p>-Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, care improvement initiatives and programmatic growth</p><p>-Adhere to HIPAA and FERPA standards for information security, privacy and confidentiality</p><p><br></p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>RN license in good standing in any state required</p><p>Prefer RN license in compact eligible state.</p><p>Compact license preferred, but not required.</p><p>License or compact licensed for work in Colorado and Ohio is currently desirable, but not required.</p><p>In depth knowledge and assessment experience in pediatric/adolescent outpatient primary care, urgent care, or school setting</p><p>Strong clinical interview skills, excellent observational skills, detail oriented</p><p>Personable, with strong communication skills, especially spoken and written English language</p><p>Candidates with second language fluency, especially Spanish language, are desirable</p><p>Ability to maintain composure, be a keen observer, and make sound clinical judgments in fast-paced environments</p><p>Ability to seek appropriate consultation and team support when necessary</p><p>Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving landscape</p><p>Work remotely from any US location</p><p>Be available for synchronous and asynchronous remote training prior to and during initiation of full work schedule</p><p>Comfort working with a diverse population</p><p>Some experience working in settings such as schools, camps, community programs is desirable but not required</p><p>Comfort with general computer skills, basic word processing, video conferencing, electronic queue systems, mobile technology devices; willing to learn new and basic technologies and applications</p><p>Ability to pass a pre-employment background check</p><p><br></p><p>ADDITIONAL INFO</p><p>Part Time and Full Time positions available.</p><p>Full time positions offer benefits.</p><p>Ongoing, active recruitment period in March, April, May, June 2026</p><p>Start dates are flexible and variable; typical July start with a limited schedule of training and preparatory work, then August or September start of full student care services.</p><p>The schedule follows standard school calendars, with extended breaks at major holidays, federal holidays off and summers offering optional work.</p><p>$30-45 per hour, commensurate with degree, licensing and experience.</p><p><br></p>
