Job Summary We're seeking a lead-level Product Designer to join our team and push the boundaries of engaging gaming experiences on Netflix. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for developing a strong design perspective, driving innovation initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create exceptional gaming experiences. Key Responsibilities • Develop a strong design perspective and bring the organization together through a shared vision. • Identify, define, and drive innovation initiatives and product features from concept to launch. • Collaborate with a small team of designers and cross-functional partners to explore, test, and develop community gaming experiences on Netflix. • Work with internal and external game studios to design and implement new platform features that can be used at scale. • Own the end-to-end design process — from blue-sky design exploration to UX specs and high-quality UI designs — while working closely with cross-functional partners to balance design and speed towards effective execution. • Develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with partners and stakeholders. Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field. • Demonstrated leadership and strategic capacity to drive initiatives and projects. • Known for innovative and technical excellence, strategic thinking, customer advocacy, and business acumen. • Deep understanding of gaming social mechanics, user expectations, behavior, and trends around building community and connecting with others. • Numerous successful game platform product/feature launches that drove significant impact on player experiences and the business. • Profound understanding of game creation methodologies, technologies, and gaming industry trends. • Sharp understanding of what drives customers and can translate that knowledge across the organization. • Ability to independently coordinate, analyze, and construct complex issues. • Shows exceptional commitment to integrating all voices and makes space for diverse communication styles.
