About the position

This position is with Henkel's Consumer Brands business unit, focusing on bringing the best Laundry & Home Care and Hair products to people around the world. The role involves developing and executing long-term growth strategies for the Target business, delivering sales, profitability, market share, and customer partnership objectives. It requires leading annual Joint Business Planning, customer negotiations, assortment, pricing, promotion, and category strategies to maximize mutual growth. The position also involves building strong executive relationships with Target, leading and developing a sales team, partnering across various internal departments, leveraging insights for data-informed decisions, owning customer forecasting and financial performance, and championing continuous improvement by anticipating market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term growth strategy for the Target business, delivering sales, profitability, market share, and customer partnership objectives
  • Lead annual Joint Business Planning, customer negotiations, assortment, pricing, promotion, and category strategies to maximize mutual growth
  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships with Target while serving as a trusted strategic advisor internally and externally
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and talent development
  • Partner across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, Category Leadership, and Digital Commerce to deliver integrated customer solutions and flawless execution
  • Leverage consumer, shopper, category, and financial insights to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive data-informed business decisions
  • Own customer forecasting, annual business planning, financial performance, and executive business reviews while ensuring delivery against key business objectives
  • Champion continuous improvement by anticipating marketplace trends, competitive activity, and evolving shopper behaviors to position Henkel for long-term success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years of progressive Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales leadership experience, including experience leading large national retail customers; Target experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading a team
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable sales growth, profitability, and market share gains
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing customer P&Ls, forecasting, trade investment, and strategic business planning
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed organization
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a passion for developing high-performing teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience across Category Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, or Digital Commerce is a plus
