Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $153,000.00

What’s the role?

The primary focus of the Talent Programs Manager is to execute Etsy’s recurring talent programs, which include: promotions, talent planning, annual performance reviews, feedback, development check-ins, 30,60,90-day check-ins. This person will coordinate across key functions within the People team and ensure an optimized experience for internal employees participating. Beyond performance programs, this person will occasionally flex into projects across Employee Relations, Learning & Development, or Inclusion  — supporting initiatives like manager enablement, employee mobility or policy updates.

This is a full-time position reporting to Etsy’s Director, Performance Strategy. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Developing and driving project plans through collaborating effectively across teams on timelines and deliverables. 

  • Proactively identifying important gaps or risks to meeting the strategic program goals and recommending solutions.

  • Optimizing collaboration between teams to support effective information sharing, execution and decision making workflows. 

  • Developing materials that foster a strong understanding of and easeful participation in programs for all end users, both internal team and employees. 

  • Collecting and translating business requirements to technical requirements for People Systems teams to design solutions for performance programs.

  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of the programs’ status throughout its life cycle and driving effective communication to stakeholders regarding program progress, flags and decisions to different audiences.

  • Monitor and assess the impact of the talent programs on offer and propose improvements that enhance their clarity, efficiency, and enablement of Admins’ equal access to opportunity.

  • Flexing into adjacent People team priorities from time to time — partnering with Employee Relations on projects such as policy rollouts, and with Learning & Development on initiatives such as content design, program launches, or facilitation support.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in project/program management in the HR space (2 years working on similar talent management programs - performance, employee relations, and/or learning & development is preferred) 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written required. Communication is confident, professional, polished and also warm.

  • Stakeholder management skills, especially with stakeholders composed of both technical and non-technical members.

  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.

  • Ability to maintain order in times of ambiguity and changing priorities.

  • Familiarity and comfort utilizing Google Suite, Slack, performance management software (such as Workday) and project management software (such as Monday.com).

  • Consistent track record of using systems thinking to create new processes or improve existing ones to help teams focus and minimize waste. 

  • Sense of strong accountability and ownership over work 

  • Bonus if you have experience writing employee facing communications or developing learning materials.

  • A trust in and commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission and values.
