We uphold company standards and expectations (such as Amazon's Supply Chain Standards and Human Rights Principles), and seek to constantly improve the tools and processes that we use in doing so.<br><br>As Sr. Project Manager, you will work under the leadership of the SR (Social Responsibility) Operations Lead, within the Global Procurement Sustainability (GPS) team, closely with Amazon’s Social Responsibility team and the Global Procurement Organization to implement mechanisms to meet Amazon’s human rights principles and Supply Chain Standards and to ensure our suppliers are compliant with those.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>You will be responsible for leading Audit risk assessment activities across Global Operations suppliers. You will meet with senior leaders to understand the business and leverage multiple sources of business data to help you assess human right risks. You will sponsor and oversee a portfolio of audits. You will help them scope, plan and execute high-quality Audits and remediation plans, which address the highest risks. You will insist on the highest standards for your team and your audits, and you will be able to dive deep into every audit area, apply broad technical knowledge, sound business judgment, and partner with key stakeholders. You will guide your team in:<br><br><ul><li> Working across GPO, collaborating with external partners and internal business partners, such as Operations, HRSI and Sustainability, Legal and Risk Management to to identify and assess regulatory and human rights compliance risks as it relates to our supplier baseline</li><li> Reviewing new and existing suppliers (legacy) ensuring that they meet Human Rights compliance, safety, terms of service standards, investigate suspicious suppliers / driver activity and behaviors that could pose a risk to Amazon, our customers, or others</li><li> Driving cross-functional assessments of risks and controls to align to company strategy and risk appetite. Be able to assess the real situation sometimes with limited information in hand in order to make an independent decision about the suppliers’ integrity and compliance standards</li><li> Drafting responses to high-priority and critical issues that arise, in partnership with WW OPs and HRSI team</li><li> Handling day-to-day issues (constantly thinking about how to invent and simplify to improve)</li><li> Engage with vendors during the Audit Process, re-establishing expectations around their roles and responsibilities.</li><li> Define and execute on standard communication pathways for all vendors and identify escalation procedures.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 5+ years of program or project management experience</li><li> 5+ years of supply chain experience</li><li> Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements</li><li> Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership</li><li> Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</li><li> Experience in a procurement organization performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding</li><li> 5+ years of relevant professional experience</li><li> Experience in project or program management</li><li> Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, or asset management</li><li> Experience in people management and team development</li><li> Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients</li><li> Knowledge of collecting data from log files, data stores, SQL, and APIs<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 2+ years of driving process improvements experience</li><li> Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field</li><li> MBA, or Advanced degree</li><li> 12+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, or corporate social responsibility experience</li><li> Experience in an HR, privacy, legal, compliance or risk management role</li><li> Experience in project and program management</li><li> Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
