Social Media Marketing Specialist for Book Launch (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook etc.)

Seeking a specialist to manage social media marketing for a book launch. Responsibilities include creating engaging content, analyzing performance, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media marketing and a strong understanding of marketing strategies.

I'm the author of The Modern Love Paradox, a RESEARCH BASED nonfiction book on modern dating, choice overload, attachment styles, and authentic connection. It's currently available on Amazon, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble, with a Google Play release coming soon.

I'm looking for a social media marketer to grow visibility, engagement, and sales for the book — primarily on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, with secondary support on LinkedIn/Pinterest if you have relevant experience.

What I need:

A content and growth strategy tailored to the book's themes (relationships, psychology, dating culture)

Consistent posting and community engagement on Instagram/TikTok etc

Content designed to be shareable/repost-worthy (quote graphics, reels, carousels)

Growth in followers, likes, comments, shares, and saves (engagement)

Tracking that connects social activity to book sales/click-throughs where possible (Amazon/Apple/B&N links, Google Play once live)

You'll be responsible for:

Auditing my current Instagram presence and proposing a 30-day content + growth plan

Creating and scheduling a content calendar (mix of reels, carousels, quote graphics, and engagement posts)

Growing engagement organically — no bot followers or engagement pods

Actively engaging with relevant audiences (relationship/dating/psychology/book communities) to drive reposts and shares

Providing a bi-weekly performance report (followers, reach, engagement rate, link clicks, any attributable sales lift)

Recommending and testing at least one paid promotion or influencer/micro-collab strategy, if budget allows

Ideal candidate has:

A portfolio or case studies showing follower/engagement growth for authors, coaches, or nonfiction books

Experience with Instagram Reels, Canva or similar design tools, and scheduling

Understanding of book marketing specifically (not just general brand social media)

Comfort working with performance-based milestone pay tied to deliverables and growth metrics

Please include: 2-3 examples of past social growth work (ideally book/author-related), your proposed approach for the first 30 days, and your fixed price for the milestones.

Suggested milestones for the 30 days: Audit & Strategy, Content Production(include frequency), Engagement & Growth(Active community engagement, hashtag/niche outreach, collab/repost partnerships pursued; bi-weekly report showing baseline vs. current metrics), Final milestone based on KPIs.

There will be opportunity for repeat content production + engagement scope based on month 1 data.
