Senior Digital Marketplace Manager, Amazon

About the Role:

We are seeking an Amazon Marketplace Manager to own Amazon as a business, not just as a marketing channel. This role is responsible for Amazon revenue performance, operational readiness, and execution across product launches, advertising, inventory availability, and marketplace compliance. The Amazon Marketplace Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure Amazon operates as a disciplined and profitable revenue engine. Transitioning from agency-led execution to internal ownership.


Key Responsibilities:

Amazon Business Ownership

  • Own Amazon revenue performance and weekly operating cadence
  • Monitor key metrics including revenue, TACoS, Buy Box %, and in-stock rates
  • Make advertising and investment decisions based on total business impact

Product Launch & Catalog Management

  • Lead the launch process for all new products, overseeing the agency for execution from initial set-up to inventory receipt
  • Ensure launch readiness across inventory, PDP content, and pricing
  • Manage and optimize the full marketing funnel, utilizing AMS and Amazon DSP campaigns
  • Manage ASIN creation, variation structure, and catalog hygiene

Advertising Strategy

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive Amazon channel strategy (1P/3P), including strategy, objectives, tactics, and scheduling that align with and achieve defined financial goals
  • Ensure campaigns scale only when inventory and PDP readiness are in place
  • Coordinate with external advertising specialists as needed


Marketplace Operations

  • Maintain account health and compliance across Amazon programs
  • Manage Amazon Remote Fulfillment expansion into Canada and Mexico
  • Ensure barcoding, labeling, and fulfillment processes follow best practices


Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Brand, Creative, and Finance, ensuring alignment and operational excellence across the business
  • Coordinate external partners and agencies when needed
  • Escalate operational blockers and enforce launch timelines


Future Marketplace Expansion

Once Amazon operations are stable, the role may expand to support additional marketplaces such as eBay and Walmart


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of direct, success-driven experience managing a high-volume business on Amazon Seller and/or Vendor Central
  • Proven mastery of managing Amazon marketplace performance
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central and FBA logistics
  • Strong understanding of PDP optimization and catalog management
  • Familiarity with Amazon advertising fundamentals (ACOS, TACoS, CVR)
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors
  • Experience with international Amazon programs or global marketplaces is a plus
