[Remote] Business Manager - Junior to Leadership

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within engineering and technology sectors
  • Build and manage relationships with existing clients
  • Develop strategic partnerships and expand key accounts
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close consulting service agreements
  • Define pricing and proposal strategies to win new business
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored solutions for client needs
  • Recruit and interview engineering consultants to support client projects
  • Build and manage your own team of consultants
  • Support consultant career development, performance reviews, and training
  • Ensure consultant engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Coach and lead teams of Account Managers and Business Managers
  • Develop and execute business plans and growth strategies
  • Manage revenue, profitability, and business unit performance
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities and new markets
  • Build strong executive-level client relationships
  • Monitor project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Track sales activities and performance through CRM tools (Salesforce)

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience ranges depending on role level: Junior roles: early career or up to ~5 years experience, Mid-level roles: 4–6 years experience in sales, consulting, or account management, Senior leadership roles: 8–10+ years experience with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
