Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pharmacy Operations Lead to oversee and streamline our pharmacy operations. This pivotal role involves leading a team to ensure efficient and compliant processes across pharmacy services, improving operational performance, and driving excellence in customer and patient care. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the pharmacy team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Monitor and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, procurement, compliance, and clinical services to support integrated care models.

  • Analyze operational metrics and implement improvements based on data-driven decisions.

  • Oversee inventory management and vendor coordination to ensure timely availability of medications and supplies.

  • Ensure all pharmacy practices align with company policies, federal/state regulations, and industry standards.

  • Train, mentor, and support the development of pharmacy staff; foster a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

  • Handle escalated operational issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement sustainable solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (PharmD preferred).

  • Current and valid pharmacist license is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, healthcare compliance, and regulatory standards.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Proficient in pharmacy management software and data analytics tools.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in pharmacy operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Experience in a healthcare technology or managed care environment is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, FDA, and DEA standards.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40 hours/week)

  • Monday to Friday, standard business hours with flexibility based on operational needs

  • Occasional weekend or extended hours may be required during peak times
