Outpatient Facility Medical Coder - CPC Certified Candidates Only

Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled Outpatient Facility Medical Coder with a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals with expertise in coding outpatient medical records and ensuring accurate and compliant billing practices. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, along with a solid understanding of healthcare regulations and insurance requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze outpatient medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of coded data in accordance with applicable coding standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding issues.

  • Submit codes for billing and reimbursement, ensuring compliance with insurance and regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of coding changes, payer requirements, and healthcare regulations.

  • Perform regular audits to verify the accuracy of coded data and billing practices.

  • Assist in preparing reports on coding performance and compliance.
