Engineering Internship (Web3/AI) 2026

Blockchain.com is connecting the world to the future of finance. As the most trusted and fastest-growing global crypto company, it helps millions of people worldwide safely access cryptocurrency. Since its inception in 2011, Blockchain.com has earned the trust of over 90 million wallet holders and more than 40 million verified users, facilitating over $1 trillion in crypto transactions.

As we continue to scale our global business across retail and institutional products, we are building an Early Careers program to develop the next generation of talent across multiple functions.

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join the Web3 and AI team at Blockchain.com. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech and crypto environment, working alongside experienced professionals on real business initiatives.

You will contribute to meaningful projects that support cutting-edge projects in the Web3 and AI space, including the development of June and strategic R&D initiatives, while developing practical skills and gaining exposure to how a global technology company operates.

What you will do

  • Shipping, not just supporting: You will write production-grade code for our AI platform (June) and upcoming Web3 products.
  • Leveraging AI: You will use AI tools (LLMs, coding assistants) to speed up your workflow. We expect you to produce significantly more output than a standard junior engineer by effectively collaborating with AI.
  • Rapid Prototyping: You will take vague problem statements and turn them into working MVPs in days, not weeks.
  • Full Stack Contribution: You will touch everything from the frontend UI to backend logic and on-chain interactions.
  • Research & Implementation: You will stay ahead of the curve on new LLM capabilities and blockchain standards.

What you will need

  • Educational Background: Recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a similar quantitative/technical discipline from a top university.
  • High Agency: You don't wait for detailed instructions. You figure it out, unblock yourself, and deliver.
  • AI Native: You use AI tools to code faster, learn faster, and automate boring tasks. You are familiar with prompting strategies and the current LLM landscape.
  • Builder Mindset: Show us your side projects, your hackathon wins, or your active GitHub contributions.
  • Technical Abilities: Proficiency in at least one major language (TypeScript, Solidity or Java/Kotlin) and a willingness to master others quickly.
  • Web3 Curiosity: You understand the basics of blockchain technology. Bonus points if you have written a smart contract or interacted with DeFi protocols.
  • Speed: You thrive in an environment where speed is a feature.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
