Director, Event Marketing & Experiences (Remote)

Remote with proximity to a Slalom office.

Role summary

The Director of Events & Experiences will define and lead the next evolution of Slalom's global events function - transforming it from a strong execution engine into a strategic, experience-led marketing capability that drives measurable business impact.

This leader will be responsible for setting a clear vision for event marketing and experiences, elevating how we engage clients and prospects, and ensuring our events are directly contributing to pipeline, brand differentiation, and growth.

What you'll do

Set the vision for event marketing and experiences

  • Define and articulate a clear, forward-looking vision for how events drive business outcomes at Slalom
  • Evolve the function from event execution to fully integrated event marketing tied to pipeline and growth
  • Establish Slalom as a leader in differentiated, high-impact client and partner experiences

Elevate experience design and innovation

  • Lead the design of distinctive, memorable event experiences that differentiate Slalom in the market
  • Push beyond traditional formats to create experiences that deepen client engagement and accelerate relationships
  • Set standards for what "premium" looks like, especiallyacross Tier 1 and flagship events

Own business impact and pipeline alignment

  • Partner closely with sales, partner, and industry leaders to align events to pipeline goals and account priorities
  • Ensure events are designed and executed as demand generation and relationship acceleration motions
  • Define and operationalize clear success metrics, including pipeline contribution, engagement, and ROI

Lead and evolve the events team

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across event marketing, execution, and enablement
  • Create clarity of roles across strategy, experience design, and execution
  • Build a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement

Drive executive and cross-functional influence

  • Operate as a senior leader and thought partner to marketing and business leadership
  • Facilitate strategic planning conversations with senior stakeholders across regions and functions
  • Ensure alignment between events, campaigns, brand, and GTM priorities

Scale through systems, tools, and enablement

  • Partner with enablement and operations to scale best practices, tools, and processes globally
  • Ensure consistency and quality across regions while enabling flexibility for local market needs
  • Advance event technology and data capabilities to improve efficiency and insight

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of proven experience leading event marketing or experiential marketing at a strategic level, not just execution
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, high-impact customer experiences
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience tying events to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes
  • B2B marketing experience,specificallyin professional services, consulting, or technologywith partner co-sell motionspreferred
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Track record of setting vision and leading teams through transformation
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on guidance in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:

Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, etc.: $153,000-$185,000

Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston: $167,000-$200,000

San Francisco: $182,000-$208,000

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
