Digital PR Specialist for Home Décor and Lifestyle Brand

We are seeking an experienced digital PR specialist or publicist to secure a small number of high-quality editorial placements for an established direct-to-consumer brand in the home décor and lifestyle space.

This is not an SEO link-building project, and we are not looking for placements on generic blogs, contributor sites, or publications created primarily for backlinks.

Our goal is to secure a few total placements (not necessarily placements every month) in recognizable, reputable online publications or magazines covering topics such as:

Home décor and interior design

Bedding and home textiles

Lifestyle

Seasonal decorating

Gift guides

Product roundups

Shopping recommendations

The publications should be well-known, authoritative brands that our client’s customers would recognize. Ideally, these placements would allow the client to credibly feature the publication’s logo in an “As Seen In” or press section on its website.

Examples of suitable opportunities may include editorial product features, expert commentary, shopping roundups, gift guides, trend stories, or other earned-media coverage. We are open to strategic recommendations based on what is realistically achievable for the brand.

Responsibilities

- Develop a targeted digital PR and media outreach strategy

- Identify relevant journalists, editors, publications, and editorial opportunities

- Create compelling pitches tailored to each publication

- Manage outreach and follow-ups

- Coordinate any product samples, images, quotes, or information needed

- Secure legitimate editorial coverage in recognizable publications

- Provide transparent reporting on outreach, responses, and confirmed placements

Ideal Candidate

- Proven experience securing earned-media placements for consumer or D2C brands

- Existing relationships with home, lifestyle, shopping, or interior-design editors are strongly preferred

- Familiarity with product roundups, gift guides, seasonal features, and commerce editorial

- Strong written communication and pitching skills

- Able to distinguish meaningful brand coverage from low-quality backlink placements

Please do not apply if your primary service is guest posting, paid backlink placement, or placements on low-quality websites. We are specifically looking for genuine digital PR and earned editorial coverage that builds consumer trust and brand credibility.
