Payroll Administrator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for efficiently processing and managing employee payroll and ensuring accurate and timely payments.

Responsibilities

  • Process and administer employee payroll accurately and efficiently, in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Collect and maintain all necessary employee information, including timesheets, tax data, and bank account details.
  • Calculate and process employee salary, wages, and any additional payments accurately, taking into account various deductions such as taxes, benefits, and overtime.
  • Verify the accuracy of employee data and payroll calculations to ensure correct payment amounts and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including pay slips, tax documents, and other related documents.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll process and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee payroll, benefits, and deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Stay updated with relevant tax regulations, labor laws, and payroll industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Troubleshoot payroll-related issues or inquiries from employees, providing efficient and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Assist in the implementation of payroll systems, software, and processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees and resolve issues.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training in payroll processing and administration will be a plus.
