As Ultraviolet Cyber engages with clients in the application of our software security improvement methodologies, the Associate Security Consultant joins in the execution of planned project deliverables that assist clients in learning, understanding, and applying Ultraviolet's secure software development methodologies. You will be responsible for applying software engineering and software security skills to assist teams in the completion of client engagements. Typical tasks span activities in the software development lifecycle including security requirements analysis, secure development, security testing, and analysis of security controls. You will employ sound communication skills interacting with clients to understand problems and provide solutions. You will often be responsible for writing analysis results in sections of final reports as part of deliverables to clients.

  • Consult with UltraViolet Cyber customers on varied engagements
  • Software Penetration Testing
  • Source Code Analysis
  • Threat Modeling
  • Secure Software Design and Architecture
  • Network Security Testing
  • Develop detailed reports on software analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability findings
  • Participate in UltraViolet's extensive training program to prepare skills for consulting on customer projects
  • Collaborate with a talented team of cyber security practitioners
  • Shadow Senior and Principal Consultants on the job to learn best practices, TTPs, and application security deliverables
  • Partner with project leaders to deliver on customer timelines and schedules

What You Have:

US Citizenship is required

  • Technical skills
  • Familiarity with software security weaknesses, attacks and exploitation techniques
  • Familiarity with secure code review a plus
  • Familiarity with at least one software programming language and framework a plus
  • Experience performing web application penetration testing a plus
  • Experience with.NET, Java, multiple operating systems and RDBMS
  • Experience with other languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl, COBOL, SQL, or Assembly) (Desired)
  • Consulting skills
  • Ability to interface with clients, utilizing consulting and negotiating skills
  • Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and delivery timelines, and to move swiftly from concepts and theory to action

$85,000 - $95,000 a year
