Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst (Cloud Platforms) to join our remote finance team. This role is ideal for finance professionals who are passionate about numbers, technology, and cloud-based platforms. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting complex financial data to support strategic business decisions and drive financial efficiency within our tech-forward organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis related to cloud services, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure costs and usage to ensure optimal financial performance.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing, investment decisions, and scenario planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Engineering, and Procurement to align financial planning with technical requirements.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.

  • Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and business intelligence to support strategic recommendations.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud expenditures and suggest areas for cost optimization.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in cloud financial tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or GCP Billing Reports.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote setting.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a technology or cloud-based environment.

  • Experience in cloud cost management and financial reporting is a strong plus.

  • Prior experience working in a fully remote setup is desirable but not required.

Working Hours

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week

  • Flexible working schedule within core business hours (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on location)
